Eat'N Park Celebrates Smiley's 25th Birthday

Restaurant chain is offering 99-cent kids meals through Friday.

Restaurants are offering a 99-cent Kids Meals promotion, which ends Friday, July 29.

The promotion caps off the 25th birthday celebration of Smiley, Eat’n Park’s well-known mascot.

In addition to the 99-cent meals, children will receive a free birthday treat bag with stickers, temporary tattoos, a collectible Smiley wristband, and of course, a Smiley cookie.

“Smiley loves kids – he feels like he’s one of them. So, of course, he wanted to celebrate his 25th birthday with kids,” Kevin O’Connell, senior vice president of marketing, said in a statement. “And our way of celebrating his milestone birthday is to make our Kids’ Meals even more affordable for families.”

The birthday season for Smiley kicked off with a party at the Carnegie Science Center on June 25. Fellow mascots, including the Pirate Parrot, the Pitt Panther, the Penn State Nittany Lion, Kenny the Kangaroo and several pierogies from the PNC Park Pierogi Races, showed up to celebrate with Smiley and his friends.

Guests were also invited to enjoy birthday cake with the characters and decorate their own .

Smiley has been making appearances at local Eat’n Park Restaurants and will continue to do so throughout the summer. He will be at the St. Alexis Parish Festival Friday in Wexford.
