Expo Aims to Unite Service Dog With Boy Who Needs Her

The first annual Sean & Sophia Dog Expo & Social took place Sunday at Misty Pines Dog Park.

The First Annual Sean & Sophia Dog Expo & Social held Sunday in Sewickley raised more than $1,000 to help bring together a special boy and dog.

The Sean & Sophia Foundation is raising money to pay the cost of raising and training Sophia to be a service dog for 7-year-old Sean Forsyth of Wexford, who has a high-functioning form of autism known as Asperger's Syndrome.

More than two dozen vendors were on hand to sell their wares and raise money for the Sean & Sophia Foundation.
