Gallery Walk Kicks Off in Sewickley

If you're planning to go, be sure to stop and say hi to the folks at Patch.

The fifth annual Sewickley Spring Gallery Walk kicked off Friday and continues today with opening receptions from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This year's walk, organized by the Sewickley Arts Initiative, features more art exhibition venues than ever and includes local artists from the Pittsburgh area. Exhibits also include student art works from and .

In all, 25 businesses are participating in this year’s Gallery Walk. Venues range from galleries to retail shops.

If You Go:

  • Be sure to stop by and visit Sewickley Patch on Division Street.
  • Fine Art Gallery will offer gallery talks today featuring Fern Hollow Nature Center and selected artists. The exhibition will remain through May 28. Gallery hours for the month-long event are 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, or by appointment. 
  • Free parking will be available in Sewickley’s business district. Both sections of Division Street will be closed to traffic to accommodate pedestrians and feature musical entertainment.
