In the case brought by , Marshall is charged with stealing credit cards, cash and gift cards from vehicles parked in the garage of a Drake Drive home after the owners accidentally left the garage door open overnight, court records show.

A week after Marshall was ordered to stand trial on those charges, he was back in court for the Hampton charges.

A felony burglary count and misdemeanor counts of criminal mischief and theft are connected to an Aug. 13 incident at Treasure Hunt at 4960 William Flynn Highway in Hampton Township, states the criminal complaint.

“Mr. Marshall admitted that he broke into the Treasure Hunt using a hammer and removed items from the store to support his drug addiction,” the complaint said.

Video surveillance showed someone entered the Shoppers Plaza store about 10:30 p.m. through a broken window, with a hammer in his left hand and a bag in his right, the complaint said. The person is then seen on the video striking the display glass with a hammer, removing items and placing them in a bag, police said.

A Hampton detective wrote in another criminal complaint that he assisted a Shaler detective in serving an arrest warrant on Marshall at the office of Magisterial District Judge Regis Welsh Jr., where Marshall had a hearing on Aug. 26.

Marshall was in possession of a Magellan GPS unit with an estimated value of $200, the criminal complaint states. The unit’s home destination was an address in Aspinwall, according to the complaint.

A report was on file with Aspinwall’s police department about a stolen Magellan GPS unit, said the complaint.

“Marshall stated the GPS unit was his property and didn’t remember where he got the unit,” the complaint said.

A court hearing at Magisterial office was postponed last week. He faces two counts of theft and one count of access device fraud, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.
