Marjorie J. Applegarth

Marjorie J. Applegarth age 85 passed away Tuesday,Oct. 9, 2012 in the Masonic Village of Sewickley. She was a lifetime resident of Sewickley & was born in Pittsburgh on May 8, 1927 to the late Martin & Maude MacNamee Dempsey. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Coraopolis. Marjorie was the wife of the late Paul D. Applegarth who passed away in 1988.

Surviving her are her children; Jan D. (Catherine) Applegarth of Ormond Beach FL., James Kevin (Kathleen) Applegarth of Mercer Pa. Lisa Dawn (Robert) Powner of Sewickley, proud grandmother of Peter, Jason, Michael, Matthew Applegarth, Prudence Urey, Justin Powner & Dr. Jordan Powner DO., also 8 great grand children. Sister of Jacqueline Wimer of Export, Gloria Price of Butler & James Dempsey of Midland MI.

Marjorie was also predeceased by a daughter Cynthia J. Applegarth & 2 brothers Eugene & Daniel Dempsey.

Friends will be received from 2-4 -and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the Copeland Sewickley Funeral Home, 702 Beaver St. where a Service will be held Monday at 11am with Pastor Jeremy Main officiating, followed by interment in Sewickley Cemetery.
