The Osborne students completed a problem called, “Pet Project,” which required the team to build three vehicles, each of which had to use a different method of propulsion. Each vehicle had to successfully run their course three times, bringing with it a piece of a pet to an assembly area. Once all nine parts arrived, the pet was assembled, and the completed pet had to perform a trick.

The Osborne team's vehicles used concentrated air, spring tension, and a slingshot as its propulsion mechanisms.
