Quaker Valley Hockey Falls Short in State Championship

The team rallied hard, but lost 6-5 in the Pennsylvania Cup final against West Chester East.

Quaker Valley fought hard, but lost 6-5 Saturday to West Chester East in the Class A Pennsylvania Cup final, according to Champs Sports Network.

The teams played at the Ice Works Arena in Ashton, PA.

The Quakers rallied hard in the third period. The Tribune Review reports that East led, 6-2, with 9:47 remaining in the game, but Quaker Valley got power-play goals to cut the lead in half.

QV was looking to clinch its second consecutive state championship title, but still finished a commendable season at 25-1-0.
