QV Board Meets Tonight to Discuss Middle School Bids

The board could potentially award construction contracts for the project at the meeting.

The Quaker Valley School Board plans to meet at 7 p.m. tonight to discuss and potentially vote on for the middle school project.

If everything goes smoothly, board members say construction could start late this month, possibly by July 26 to get construction moving in the next few weeks.

Construction plans include massive and updates to classroom space, the cafeteria, gymnasium and the auditorium at the middle school, where students in grades six through eight attend.

Board members voted to all the middle school construction bids in April after costs for the $23 million project came in well over the district’s targeted cost.

Tonight's meeting takes place at the district’s main offices in the Leetsdale Industrial Park.
