Rivers Casino to Host 'The Amazing Race' Casting Call on Tuesday

Do you have what it takes to race around the world?

"The Amazing Race" is looking for contestants in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Oct. 11.

KDKA-TV is holding a casting call for "The Amazing Race" at the upstairs banquet hall of the Rivers Casino on the North Shore. Rivers Edge members can audition from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., and public auditions will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

"The Amazing Race" is a reality game show in which teams of two race around the world in competition with other teams. The CBS program uses progressive elimination: The last team to arrive at a designated checkpoint leaves the game.

The race starts in a city in the United States. Teams must then follow clues and instructions, making their way to checkpoints in places around the world and eventually racing back to the finish line in the U.S.

Anyone who auditions must have a partner and be at least 21 years of age. Both members of each team must be United States citizens who are living in the United States. Participants must be in excellent physical and mental health and they must authorize producers to conduct a background check.

"Survivor" winner Jenna Morasca of Pittsburgh was a participant on the current season of "The Amazing Race." She and her boyfriend, fellow "Survivor" winner Ethan Zohn, were eliminated from the race the second week in.

For more information about the casting call, see the Rivers Casino website or the casting call information page on KDKA-TV.
