Route 65 Detour
A line of cars Friday crossed the Sewickley Bridge, which is part of a PennDOT detour from 65.
Cars detoured off the Sewickley Bridge Friday while a section of Route 65 near the Glenfield Viaduct remains shut down for a few days. Contract crews worked Friday with cranes to clear out rock debris that threatens to slide off a hillside.
Route 65 northbound was closed as a precaution Wednesday after a slide occurred about one-quarter mile north of the I-79 Interchange in Glenfield. The stretch is expected to remain closed through early next week, but PennDOT officials ay the road is close to reopening.
