Single Lanes Thursday on Route 65 in Glenfield

PennDOT estimates bridge-cleaning work will extend about a week.

Route 65 will be down to single lanes in both directions starting Thursday in the area of the Interstate 79 interchange in Glenfield, according to PennDOT.

Jim Struzzi, PennDOT spokesman, said crews will be cleaning the I-79 bridges over Route 65, weather permitting.

Lane closures will run as needed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday, July 8 on Route 65 in the bridge area. No work will take place Monday, July 4.

All ramps will remain open and I-79 will not be affected, Struzzi said.

Crews from Michael Facchiano Contracting, Inc. of Pittsburgh is doing the work. Motorists are reminded to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns in that area.
