Snowfall Causes Slippery Travel Conditions Around the Region

Snow showers moving through the region will affect most of the Pittsburgh metro area through 9:30 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

Police in the region were dealing with several winter-related vehicle crashes after snowfall caused slippery road conditions in the area.

State police said troopers were handling numerous traffic accidents Saturday night, including multi-vehicle crashes on Interstate 79 in Franklin Park,  and Interstate 279 at Route 910 in Wexford. Another crash was reported last night on I-79 at McKnight Road in Ross. This morning, slippery conditions caused a crash at the I-79 exit at Coraopolis Road in Robinson. Additional details were unavailable.

Sewickley and Leetsdale police reported no weather-related incidents on Monday.
