The Lowest Gas Prices Around

Patch brings you area gasoline prices to compare.

Gas prices are soaring in Western Pennsylvania.

According to AAA’s Fuel Gauge, the most recent increase was 13.6 cents per gallon, bringing the average price for a gallon of self-serve, regular unleaded gasoline to $3.507.

Market analysts point to concerns that the unrest in Libya may spread in Northern Africa and the Middle East, impacting supply in the future and causing higher prices.

Motortrend.com designated BP gas station on Route 65 in as having the cheapest gas in the Sewickley Valley. To save a few pennies more, head to Exxon, 2619 Wexford Bayne Road, where regular gas is $3.50.

Local prices range from $3.599 a gallon for regular unleaded to $3.979 for premium -- the lowest prices we could find.

To get cheaper prices, cash in on fuel perks through Shop ‘n Save and Giant Eagle, which offer shoppers with fuel perks cards money off gas based on the total grocery purchases.
