LOCAL CELEBRITIES TO BE FEATURED IN SUPPORT OF PITTSBURGH WOMEN BATTLING CANCER


Hair Peace Charities to host its 8th annual Recipe for Hope event to provide wigs to local women


Culinary delights served by local celebrities wearing aprons, specialty martini bar, live music and a silent auction featuring airline tickets, combine to create a memorable evening for a wonderful cause as Hair Peace Charities hosts its 8th annual Recipe for Hope fundraiser.


The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, February 23rd at the Mayernik Center on Camp Horne Road.


Hair Peace Charities is a nonprofit organization founded in
2005 by Bonny Diver, a local radio personality and a breast cancer survivor. Its mission is to support local women fighting cancer by providing them with $150 towards the cost one wig. Hair Peace also offers support through a prayer network and a support circle focusing on healthy options in the long term life battle over cancer.


"Recipe for Hope promises to be a fun and meaningful evening for all of our guests," says Diver. "As a cancer survivor myself, I encourage anyone who has a soft spot in their hearts for women who have undergone cancer treatment to come out and support this premier event."
