Open Ceramics Studio to support Empty Bowls Fundraiser

Sweetwater is sponsoring two open studio sessions in support of an “Empty Bowls” fundraising event, hosted by Just Harvest, a local organization that works toward the elimination of hunger and poverty. Anyone can attend these studio sessions and help in the fight against hunger by producing bowls to donate to Just Harvest’s “Empty Bowls” dinner fundraiser, which will take place at Rodef Shalom on Sunday, March 2, 2014. A Sweetwater instructor will be on hand to assist those with no prior experience, and both wheel throwing and hand building options will be available. Clay is provided by Sweetwater, and all bowls created will be left at the Center to be glazed and donated to Just Harvest.

For more information about Just Harvest, visit www.JustHarvest.org. To register, call 412-741-4405. Pre-registration is recommended, but not required. Walk-ins welcome.
