Vote for the Ohio River as "2014 River of the Year"

Co-nominated by the Ohio River Trail Council & the Friends of the Riverfront. The public is invited to vote online for the 2014 Pennsylvania River of the Year, the Ohio River!

Cast a vote for the Ohio River as Pennsylvania’s River of the Year – an honor bestowed upon a Commonwealth river to elevate public awareness about this wonderful resource and to recognize its important conservation needs and achievements. After the Ohio River is chosen, a year-round slate of activities will be held to celebrate the waterway, including a special extended paddling trip known as a sojourn. These events will raise the awareness of the environmental, recreational, tourism, economic, and heritage values of the Ohio River.
