Sunset and Supper Event to Support Annual YMCA Campaign

This community-wide event will benefit the Annual Campaign that allows the Y to provide financial assistance to families and individuals.

The Sewickley Valley YMCA will host its inaugural Sunset and Supper event on Saturday, Sept. 28.

This night of music, dancing, friends and a great silent auction benefits the YMCA's annual campaign.

Sunset and Supper takes place at the Sewickley Hills borough building and is a "bring your own everything" event. Beer or wine is $25 and participants can pre-order a boxed dinner for an additional $15.  The Y is also providing child watch for children ages 6-12 at the Y for $15.

This community-wide event will benefit the Annual Campaign that allows the Y to provide financial assistance to families and individuals for services like affordable child care, swim lesson, health and wellness programming and youth enrichment programs.

In 2012, the Sewickley Valley YMCA awarded $389,971 in financial assistance to 1,043 individuals and families.  The mission and promise of the YMCA, according to officials, is to provide exceptional programs for everyone, regardless of their financial circumstances.  Whether it is a working family who needs safe, affordable child care, for children who need access to healthy enriching activities, or for adults who strive to lead a healthier life, the Y is committed to supporting the community.
