July 4: What's Open, What's Closed in the Sewickley Valley

The Fourth of July is observed on Thursday, July 4.

Many offices will close Thursday, July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Some businesses and organizations will remain open.

CLOSED:

  • All federal and state government offices will be closed, as are banks and postal facilities.
  • All local municipal offices are closed.
  • Sewickley Public Library

OPEN:

  • Sewickley Valley YMCA. Hours are modified from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Programs resume on Friday.
  • Port Authority's bus, T and incline service will operate on holiday schedules on Thursday, July 4. For buses and incline, the holiday schedules/hours are the same as Sunday schedules/hours.

    The Customer Service phone line will be staffed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and the Downtown Service Center will be closed Thursday in observance of the holiday.
