'American Idol' Singer with Local Relatives in Top 13

Deandre Brackensick moved onto the next level of the reality television show Thursday night.

Just when it appeared that "American Idol's"  wasn't going to receive enough fan votes to stick around, the reality show's judges, who had three wild card spots to fill Thursday night, saved him.

Brackensick fell to the floor of the stage in tears as fellow Idol singers swarmed him. The 17-year-old is the of Sewickley historian Bettie Cole and Earl Cole of Ambridge.

Earlier in the night, Brackensick sang "Georgia on My Mind" hoping to be saved after he fell short of the top 10. Idol Judge Steve Tyler later told the 17-year-old, "You have such a dynamic range."
