Moon Family Searches for Stolen Dirt Bike Purchased as Graduation Gift

A $1,000 reward is being offered for its return, no questions asked.

A Moon family is asking the community to keep an eye out for a dirt bike that was recently stolen Friday from their home on Brodhead Road.

Kathy Young said the $10,000 bike, described as a 2012 KTM 250 XC-F, was purchased for her son as a graduation gift for her son from Bob Tracey's World of Cycles in Moon.

The bike was parked and chained Friday, May 31 outside their home, located in the Bon Meade area of the township near Patrick's Pub.

Around 8 or 9 p.m. Young went into the house from doing yard work and when she returned a half hour later, the bike was gone.

"I'm not sure how," Young said. "They came up and took it."

The family has filed a police report and are trying to get the word out as much as possible in hopes that the bike will be returned.

"I’m just hoping there's somebody who saw something or knows something," Young said.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for its return, no questions asked. Anyone with information can call 412-418-7701.
