Bess Dokmanovich

Bess Dokmanovich, 83, of , passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in her home.

Born on Dec. 8, 1927 in Clairton, Pa., she was the eldest daughter of the late Rade and Mary (Posmoga) Klipa.

Bess was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church in Aliquippa, St. Elijah Circle of Serbian Sisters, S.N. F. Lodge #100, former member of St. Elijah Mother’s Club and a lifelong member of the Democratic Party.

She is survived by her son Gary Dokmanovich of Charlotte, NC; her daughter and son in law Dana Dokmanovich and Franco Harris of Sewickley; 4 beloved grand children Dok Harris, Ashley Oelson, and Peter and Lovie Ana Dokmanovich; a brother Melvin Clipper of Capistrano Beach, CA; 2 sisters, Zorie Miller of Aliquippa and Martha Peretich of Apopka, FL; her dear friend Nadine Robbins; and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and kumovi and her good friends at Leetsdale Manor.

A service took place Friday at Tatalovich Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in Aliquippa, with Very Rev. Stevan Stepanov, her pastor, officiating. Interment took place at St. Elijah Cemetery in Hopewell.

Bess was a loving mother and doting grandmother. Her passion was her family and her Serbian heritage. She will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her.
