Betty Marie (Phillips) Doyle, age 87, of Ambridge, formerly of Ohio and Florida, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at her home surrounded by family.
Betty Marie (Phillips) Doyle, age 87, of Ambridge formerly of Ohio and Florida, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Thursday, October 6, 2011.
She was born in Paisley, PA on Dec. 9, 1923 to the late Thomas and Hester Gertrude (Barnhart) Phillips. On May 24, 1966, she was preceded in death by her husband of 24 years, John Franklin Doyle.
Beloved mother of Crystal Hindle (Robb) with whom she made her home in Ambridge; sister of Vera K. Bruno of Sewickley and Nancy G. Mitchell (James A.) of Bellevue; also multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters.

During WWII, she built aircrafts. Later, she was a manager for Handleman Records and was a clerk for Hermann’s Bakery.
Her smile would light up a room and she was loved by all. Visitation took place Tuesday at . Graveside services were held at Allegheny Co. Memorial Park.
