Carolyn N. H. Black Anderson

Carolyn N. H. Black Anderson, 81, of Sewickley, formerly of the Pittsburgh area, on Friday January 6, 2012.

Born February 22, 1930 in Indiana, PA, a daughter of the late Harry and Olive (Hutton) Nichol. Beloved wife of Douglas O. Anderson, the late Arthur O. Black and former wife to Robert E. Heaton. Mother of Jeffrey S. (Teresa) Heaton of Baton Rouge, LA, James M. (Jan) Heaton of Allison Park, PA and Leslie H. (Tim) Dixon of Milwaukee, WI, grandmother of Alexander, Christen, Robert, Christopher, Samantha, James Jr., Emily, Henry, George and Edward.; sister of Gladys Reynolds of Portsmouth, OH, Ruth Collins of Poughkeepsie, NY and the late Harry Nichol.

Carolyn was a resident of the and a member of the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley. She was a graduate of Muskingum College in Ohio. And she loved traveling and had a passion for learning and the arts.

A memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, 414 Grant Street, Sewickley on Friday January 13, 2012 at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the LS Association-Western PA Chapter, 416 Lincoln Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15209 in her memory.
