Dorothy “Dottie” T. (Taylor) Haupt
Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Copeland's Sewickley, 702 Beaver St. and a memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Stephen's.
Dorothy “Dottie” T. (Taylor) Haupt, age 82, a Sewickley resident since 1965, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011, at Reform Presbyterian Home.
She was born in Richmond, VA on June 1, 1929 to the late Aaron Russell and Genevieve (Gallagher) Taylor. Beloved wife of the late Frederick Edger Haupt; loving mother of Jim Haupt (Allegra) of Amherst, MA; proud grandmother of Joshua, Stephen, David, Matthew, Samuel, Benjamin, Aria, and Theo; sister of the late Marjorie Zuerner.
She was a faithful, active member of St. Stephen’s Church volunteering at the Chancel Society, bookstore, Trinity Cathedral, etc. She enjoyed her profession as an elementary school teacher. She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
