Eleanor Coulson Clarner

Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the Copeland Sewickley Funeral Home, 702 Beaver St., where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday followed by interment in Sewickley Cemetery.

Eleanor Coulson Clarner, a long-time resident of the area, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2012, with her family at her side. She was born in Greenville, PA to the late Clair Coulson & Helen Anderson.

After raising two daughters, Eleanor became an employee of the for 19 years. She was a member of and the Order of the Eastern Star, Sewickley Chapter No. 439 for 58 years.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed traveling, bowling and movies.

She was preceded in death by her husband William Clarner. She is survived by her children, Marjorie (John) Skrabut, Sewickley and Donna Clarner, Virginia; her grandchildren, Stephanie (Todd) Rouse, Florida; Amanda (Jason) Bias, Washington, D.C., John Skrabut, Jr., Indiana, Pennsylvania; David Young, Gavin Young and Colin Young, Florida; a brother, Clair (Ina) Coulson, Coraopolis; two sisters-in-law, Cherrie Ganiear and Barbara Nicoletti. We want to thank "Aunt Cherrie" and Rose, who cared for her with great compassion and tenderness.

They will always hold a special place in our hearts; also we want to thank the Team at Vitas Hospice Care.
