In Memory: Brian Brown, Bell Acres Chief of Police

Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Bohn-Matich Funeral Home Inc., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge.

Brian B. Brown, 42, of Harmony Twp., died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, in UPMC Montifiore.

Born Dec. 31, 1970, in Sewickley, he was a son of Stanley W. and Judith Devine Brown, Sewickley.

He was the current Chief of Police of Bell Acres Borough and a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

He was a member of the FOP, The Masonic Lodge Oakdale #669 and the Western PA Chiefs of Police Association.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Dawn Asafaylo Brown; two sons, Brian R. Brown and Alexander M. Brown, both at home; his maternal grandmother, Grace I. Devine, North Hills; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Marie Asafaylo, Ambridge and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. in the BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC., 1099 Maplewood Ave., Ambridge, where a service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 a. m. in the Good Samaritan Catholic Church. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CHURCH.

Interment will follow Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Brown children, in care of the funeral home.
