Maria Gallo

Maria Gallo, age 75 of Sewickley, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9 in her home with her loving family at her side. Maria had a three-year battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Born in Gizzeria, Italy to the late Michelino and Maria Falvo Mastroianni, Maria was the wife of the late Thomas Gallo who passed away Jan. 15, 2006. Survived by her loving children; Linda (Richard) Ludovici of Moon Twp., Mary Jane (Michael) Rossi of Center Twp., & Peggy Renne of Moon Twp., sister of Ida DeGori & Esterina Sauro both of Gizzeria Italy, Miranda Villella of Sewickley, Lena Trunzo of Moon Twp., Lisa Incorvati of Robinson Twp., Pasquale Mastroianni, Sewickley & Silvio Mastroianni of Falerna Italy, 4 grandchildren; Orlando & Michael Renne, Michael & Isabella Rossi.

Maria was a member of St. James Church.

She enjoyed gardening and canning her garden bounty and was also an excellent cook for her family. Her greatest passion was her faith in God and the joy her grandchildren bestowed upon her.

Friends will be received at 2-4 and 6-8:30 p.m. Friday at the Copeland Sewickley Funeral Home, 702 Beaver St., where prayers will be recited Saturday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a 10 a.m. Mass in St. James Church with the Rev. Thomas Burke, celebrant.

Interment in St. James Cemetery. A special thanks to Heritage Valley Oncology staff in Moon Township and to Dr. Michael Sherry, also Good Samaritan Hospice and Nurse Peggy for their compassion.
