If you're looking for authentic Mexican fare, Azul is the place to go.

offers authentic Mexican food in an upbeat and vibrant atmosphere. Located on the corner of Broad and Rapp Streets in Leetsdale, the restaurant is perfect for any occasion — warm and inviting, with a friendly staff and tasty food.

From the adorned on the walls to the smooth wooden tables and chairs, the decor is sleek. A blue-painted ceiling completes the cool feel of the eatery.  

Azul's food is fresh and homemade. Start off with chips and spicy salsa for $4. Other appetizers include the tableside guacamole for $10 and the taquitos de pollo for $9.

The menu offers quesadillas, queso fundidos, enchiladas, tacos, burritos and fajitas. All of the plates offer different meat choices, such as chicken, shrimp, filet and pork, and they range in price from $10 to $16.

The menu has a handful of , including the chile rellenos with roasted poblano, rice and choice of beans for $12, the pork shank with braised house shank, hand-cut baja seasoned fries and salad for $16 and the empanadas with fresh masa turnover filled with chef’s choice, rice and choice of beans for $14.

Try to save room for dessert. The fried ice cream or flan are both priced at $6.

Azul has a full bar with one-of-a-kind margaritas made fresh with a homemade mix. The margaritas come frozen or on the rocks and are offered in numerous flavors, including mango, strawberry and blueberry. A single is $6 and a double is $12.

Azul is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
