Patch Pets: Ferdinand is a Distinguished Gentleman

Ferdinand is also the loveable office mascot at Animal Friends.

Say hello to our distinguished gentleman, Ferdinand!

Ferdinand came to Animal Friends in September. Our humane officer found Ferdinand living as a stray. Shortly after his arrival, we found that his back leg had been injured.

Ferdinand was very stressed the first few days he spent here. After we got him patched up, we moved him into our humane investigations office so he could heal and get away from other cats, who he does not appreciate.

He recovered quickly, and his   earned him the distinction of becoming our humane investigations office mascot!

Ferdinand is a fellow who knows what he wants, and he isn’t afraid to let you know it. He will come up to you for some attention, but will let you know when he’s had enough.

He takes a little time getting used to his environment and the people around him, but once he warms to you, he can be very friendly. He hides behind our humane officer’s computer monitor and jumps out at her, just looking for a chance to play!

We think he’d do best with an experienced cat  who is able to read and understand his body language. Ferdinand would love to go home with a patient and caring person who can show him what it's like to finally be loved.

If you have a little time and a lot of love to give, come and meet Ferdinand. He is truly a special guy!

Be sure to watch his video!  Then come meet him at Animal Friends!

Ferdinand is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. For more information, visit Animal Friends at 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237 or call 412-847-7002. You can also start your application online, so get started by clicking here!
