90-Year-Old Woman Injured in Glen Osborne Crash

Two children were also evaluated at the crash scene.

A 90-year-old woman was taken to Heritage Valley Sewickley hospital following a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Glen Osborne.

Sewickley police said one passenger, Anna Mae Ganzar, who turns 91 next month, complained of neck pain and was taken by ambulance to the hospital.

Valley Ambulance medics also evaluated two brothers ages 3 and 7, who were passengers in a separate vehicle.

Police said the crash happened shortly after 2 p.m. on Route 65 at River Road as the vehicles were traveling southbound.

Police said Ganzer was in the vehicle with her daughter, Barbara Starr, 54, of Sewickley, stopped at the traffic light when Abby Leigh Vargo's sport utility vehicle struck the back of their car.

Vargo, 29, told police she was distracted by a noise her young children made and looked up to see the other vehicle stopped in front of her, police said.

Cochran Hose Company provided assistance with traffic control and vehicle damage clean up. Police did not plan to issue citations.
