Ambridge Store Clerk Pulls Gun on Would-Be Robber

The clerk reportedly wrestled the suspect to the floor.

An Ambridge store clerk with a real gun thwarted a robbery by a suspect with a BB gun, according to WPXI.

The altercation was captured on surveillance video.

Police told the TV station that James Hayes, 42, of Ambridge, tried to rob Moh's Market on Saturday afternoon. The clerk, Abdul Belaouni, responded by pulling out his real gun.

Belaouni then wrestled Hayes to the ground and tried to keep him there. Hayes got away, but police caught up to him when a woman yelled a man with a gun ran into her apartment, according to the report.
