Car Crashes Through Pittsburgh Airport

A woman lost control of her car and crashed through the landside terminal's moving walkway.

No one was injured when a woman lost control of her Toyota Prius and crashed through the moving walkway doors leading to Pittsburgh International Airport.

Airport spokeswoman JoAnn Jenny said a woman lost control of her car at 7:05 a.m. Wednesday as she attempted to enter a longterm parking ramp, crashing through a gateway near the Pittsburgh Airport Hyatt Regency in Findlay Township. 

The woman's vehicle crashed into a moveable walkway near the hotel.

No one was on the walkway at the time and the crash did not interfere with airport operations. 

"The woman's airbags did deploy, but she was not injured," Jenny said.
