The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings March 29 at Robert Ford's office in Leetsdale:

Waived

  • Jeffrey Tott, 58, of Sewickley Heights, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Police reported an officer on Dec. 23 saw an Audi driven by Tott stop in the middle of Broad Street in Sewickley. The car turned onto Hill Street without using a turn signal. Police said they stopped him on Blackburn Road after they saw him swerving and failing to immediately pull over. Police reported Tott’s blood-alcohol content was 0.328 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
  • Elliot Maytic, 27, of Center Township, charged with theft and access device fraud. Police reported Maytic used his grandmother’s debit card 42 times between Dec. 8 and Feb. 28, charging $5,554. The Leetsdale woman reported the theft to police on March 2. Police said they identified Maytic as the person who used the card after reviewing surveillance video from the Clearview Credit Union in Sewickley.

  • Lori White, 29, of Sewickley, charged with simple assault and harassment.  Police reported that on Nov. 8, White yelled at her mother, grabbed her by the neck and threw her mother up against the wall, causing her mother to strike her head and fall to the floor at her mother’s Bell Acres home. Police said White’s brother pushed White onto the couch to get her off their mother and was kicked in the face several times, scraping and cutting his face.
