The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings July 26 at Robert Ford's office in Leetsdale:

Waived

  • Christiana L. Soisson, 20, of Beaver Falls, charged with endangering the welfare of children, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended, driving without a license, driving with suspended registration, and reckless driving. said Soisson in the 700 block of Route 65 with her 2-year-old son in the backseat. Police stopped Soisson and learned she had been drinking. Police said Her driver’s license had expired in March and that her registration was suspended due to an insurance cancellation. Her blood-alcohol results are pending.
  • David Quigley, 57, of Leetsdale, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving without inspection. said several officers watched May 14 outside of the BP station as Quigley’s car approached the parking area in front of the store, swerved and took up two parking spots. Police said Quigley then got out of his car and appeared to have difficulty walking as he moved past the officers in the store. One of the officers also noticed his inspection and emissions stickers expired in September. Police towed his vehicle and took him to Heritage Valley Sewickley Hospital for a blood-alcohol test, police said. His blood-alcohol content was 0.16 percent, police reported.
  • Ian Parris, 25, of Sewickley Hills, charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and driving under the influence of alcohol.  reported that an officer at 9:15 p.m. May 20 saw Parris’s car parked in the middle of Blackburn Road at Magee Road in Sewickley Hills. The car had a turn signal on, but was parked, police said. Police said Parris didn't put the driver’s side window down at first and looked confused. Police said Parris thought he was parked at home and continued insisting to the officer that he was home. Police said Parris smelled like alcohol and was given a field sobriety test, but refused a blood-alcohol screening, police said. He was taken to the police department for processing, where he kicked one officer in the shin and tried to kick another officer in the leg. Police said he became combative and had to be handcuffed again.  He was taken to Allegheny County Jail.

  • David A. Moss, 43, of Bellevue, charged with two counts of theft. said Moss was seen running from the 1800 block of Big Sewickley Creek Road carrying two pieces of metal and putting it into the back of a pickup truck, police said. Moss admitted that he took items from the property, along with scrap from Baden Steel Bar & Bolt, and recycling the items at Metalico Metals on Neville Island, police said. Charges were reduced to non-traffic and Moss was ordered to pay $400 in fines and court costs.
  •  Sean Price, 19, of Leetsdale, charged with criminal trespass, underage drinking and possession of a small amount of marijuana.   received a call that someone climbed a ladder into a second floor window at a home in the 400 block of Washington Street. Police arrived and saw Price climbing out a first floor window carrying some items. Police confronted Price, who claimed he just needed to get a few things out of the house. Police said. Price was not allowed in the house. Police also found a bottle of rum and a small bag of marijuana, police said. Charges were reduced to non-traffic. Price was ordered to pay court costs.

  • , 33, of Rochester, charged with four counts of corruption of minors and one count of retail theft. Leetsdale Police said Bowens stole $100 worth of fried chicken from  in Leetsdale with the help of two children. Police said Bowens walked out of Giant Eagle on April 2 with $100 worth of hot chicken and drove away in a minivan onto Route 65, police said.
  •  Joshua Fortuna, 23, of Bell Acres, charged with simple assault. Bell Acres Police said Fortuna punched a woman in the face and left a mark underneath her eye. The incident happened at 7:30 p.m. July 20, police said.
