The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings March 15 at District Judge Robert Ford's office in Leetsdale:

Waived to Court

  • Marlana Greene, 21, of Aliquippa, charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct. Sewickley Police reported that Greene arrived at Sewickley Valley Hospital Jan. 31 and began arguing with a 1-year-old child’s father over the child’s treatment for a respiratory infection. Police said the parents left the hospital after the child was discharged and found their vehicle had been keyed on the emergency room deck, police said. Police said surveillance video shows Greene damaging the vehicle.

  • John P. Meanor, 50, of Harmony, charged with possession of a controlled substance, speeding, driving without a license and driving while suspended. Sewickley Heights Police reported that at 3:25 p.m. on Feb. 2, police saw a silver Mercedes Benz sedan speeding northbound on Glen Mitchell Road. When police stopped Meanor on Redgate Road, they found his license had been suspended and he'd been issued numerous “failure to respond” notices from the local magistrate’s office. He was taken into custody for failing to make payments on numerous citations. Police said Meanor had a pill container in his vehicle -- one prescribed to Meanor and the other suboxone, a drug that treat opiate addiction.  
  •  Jeffrey Tott, 58, of Sewickley Heights, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Sewickley Police reported an officer on Dec. 23 saw an Audi driven by Tott stop in the middle of Broad Street in Sewickley. The car then turned onto Hill Street without using a turn signal. Police stopped him on Blackburn Road after they said they saw him swerving and failing to immediately pull over. Police reported Tott’s blood-alcohol content was 0.328 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
