District Court: Drunken Driving and Drug Possession

The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings March 27 at :

Waived to court

  • Beverly Dimond, 52, of Franklin Park, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Franklin Park police said Dimond’s vehicle crashed Dec. 23 over an embankment and into a private residential yard in the area of Rochester Road near McAleer Road. Police reported Breathalyzer results of 0.219 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
  • Tek Bestola, 20, of Philadelphia, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and underage drinking. reported Bestola was stopped Dec. 27 in the 100 block of Beaver Road in Edgworth after he nearly struck a police car and was driving without headlights. Police reported a blood-alcohol content of 0.077 percent.  
  • Christian Jones, 22, of Carnegie, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. reported Jones was stopped Jan. 26 for speeding in the 800 block of  Route 65.  Police did not report the results of a blood-alcohol test.

  • Diane Cepullio, 54, of Pittsburgh, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Franklin Park police reported Cepullio appeared to be passed out in her vehicle Feb. 13 when officers arrived to check on a report of a car stopped with the engine running in someone’s driveway.

  • Garey Brooks, 30, of Bell Acres, charged with two counts of simple assault. reported Brooks spanked a 6-year-old on Jan. 13 to discipline the child and the child’s mother became upset with Brooks. At one point Brooks grabbed the woman , pushed her and choked her, police said.
  • Christopher Caldwell, 23, of Oil City, charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. Franklin Park police reported Caldwell’s car was stopped Feb. 3 after making an illegal turn into a parking lot on Route 910. During a search, police found a bag with five hypodermic needles, a loaded needle, a small scale and a spoon.

  • Anthony Baltimore, 24, of Economy, charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and driving while suspended. reported Baltimore was stopped Feb. 8 on Ferry Road because police knew his license was suspended. During a search, police found a bag of marijuana stuffed between the seats. He was ordered to pay fines and court costs.
  • Justin Bogulski, 24, of Cranberry, charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Franklin Park police reported Feb. 7 Bogulski was seen changing lanes, once without using a signal and cutting off a tractor-trailer on Interstate 79. During a search, police found a glass pipe and marijuana in a prescription bottle. He was ordered to pay fines and court costs.

Withdrawn

  • of Broad Street in Leetsdale, charged with two counts each of harassment and making terroristic threats. Charges were withdrawn.
