District Court: Postponed Hearings and a Failure to Appear

The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings Jan. 10 at in :

Warrant issued

, 35, of Harrisburg, charged with open lewdness, public drunkenness and possession of a small amount of marijuana. said an officer saw Lewis at 1:50 a.m. Nov. 24 leaving Little Athens in the 500 block of Locust Place and urinating on the sidewalk with his genitals exposed. Police said they found a small amount of marijuana in his front pocket when they arrested him. Lewis failed to appear for court.

Postponed

Marice Phillips, 32, of Pittsburgh, driving while suspended and false identification to law enforcement. Franklin Park police said they stopped Phillips’ vehicle after seeing him at 11:28 p.m. Nov. 17 exiting Interstate 79 in Wexford without using a turn signal. On Route 910, police said he made an illegal lane change in a prohibited area. Police said Phillips provided a false name of a person who has a warrant for his arrest. When police told him he was being arrested on the warrant, they said he provided his real name. Officers said they learned then that Phillips’ license is suspended.

Jason Hazimanolis, 18, of Brandt School Road, Wexford, charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended. Franklin Park police said they saw Hazimanolis crossing the double yellow lines Oct. 14 on Rochester Road. When police stopped him on Brandt School Road, they said they discovered his license was suspended. While speaking to Hazimanolis, an officer noticed a fresh needle track mark on the top of his hand, police said. During a search of the car, police said they found six open stamp bags of heroin with residue, syringes, a spoon and a tourniquet. Hazimanolis was arrested, processed and released to his mother.
