District Court: Simple Assault and DUI Charges

The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings April 10 at in Leetsdale:

Waived to Court

  • Brian Gerber, 48, of of Glenshaw, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. stopped Gerber’s car Feb. 5 on Route 65 after his pickup was seen swerving near the Osborne Plaza. Police reported a blood-alcohol level of 0.199 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.
  • James J. Nelson, 37, of Pittsburgh, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Franklin Park police came upon Nelson’s vehicle Feb. 24 stopped and running in the middle of Reis Run Road. Police activated the emergency lights and Nelson got out of the car with his hands in the air, police said. He was taken to UPMC Passavant for a blood alcohol test. The results were not reported.

  • Fuschia Maxie, 26, of Sewickley, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. said Maxie’s vehicle was swerving Feb. 29 on Beaver Road when she was stopped in the borough. A breathalyzer test showed her alcohol content at 0.159 percent, above the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

  • , 53, of Carnegie, charged by with disorderly conduct, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
