District Court: DUIs and Marijuana Charges

The following people were charged and scheduled for preliminary hearings June 19 at  office in Leetsdale:

Waived

Mark Styula, 18, of Wexford, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding.Franklin Park police stopped Styul;a’s car April 15 after he was seen speeding to a stop sign at the intersection of Rochester Road and Ingomar Heights Road and Reis Run Road. Police reported a blood-alcohol content of 0.142 percent, higher than the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

Patrick Mendicino, 48, of Sewickley charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.  stopped Medicino’s car May 12 on Blackburn Road after stopping with his high beams at an intersection where he had the right of way and didn’t have to stop. Police said he refused a blood-alcohol test.

Jeffrey Zubik, 32, of Pittsburgh, charged with possession of marijuana, possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence.  were called April 15 to Camp Meeting Road near Summerlawn Drive for a report of a vehicle parked facing oncoming traffic. Police found Zubik asleep in the driver’s seat with the vehicle running. During a search police found a small bag of marijuana and a pipe.

Brendan Odonoghue, 23, of Cranberry Township, charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. State police reported Odonoghue was stopped Dec. 22on Route 279 approaching 79 in Franklin Park after his vehicle was seen speeding and swerved into the officer’s lane. Police reported a blood-alcohol content of 0.132 percent, higher than the state’s legal limit of 0.08 percent.

 

Withdrawn

Patrick Yates, 18, of Ross Township, charges withdrawn of possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Franklin Park police reported officers were patrolling Rochester Road when they saw a vehicle turn at Camp Meeting Road without using a signal. Yates was a passenger in the vehicle, where police found marijuana and a glass pipe. Yates completed community service.

Christopher Lenihan, 18, of Pittsburgh, charges withdrawn of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Franklin Park police reported Lenihan was one of several passengers in a car stopped Jan. 22 on Rochester Road at Camp Meeting Road. Police during a search found a bag of marijuana and a pipe in a bag that Lenihan said belonged to him. He completed court-ordered community service and drug and alcohol rehab.

Ryan Knoch, 18, of Wexford, charged with possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Franklin Park police reported Lenihan was one of several passengers in a car stopped Jan. 22 on Rochester Road at Camp Meeting Road. Knoch completed 100 hours of community service.
