Injured Woman Transported to Hospital After Four-Vehicle Crash

Leetsdale police said wet weather played a factor in the crash.

An Ambridge woman and her infant were transported by Valley Ambulance to Thursday afternoon following a four-car crash on Route 65 in .

said Shannon Fulton of Ambridge admitted she wasn't paying attention about 2:30 p.m. when her sport utility vehicle came upon northbound 65 traffic stopped at a light near the Maruca Bridge at the Broad Street intersection.

Police said Fulton tried to stop on the wet road and slid into a vehicle driven by Dennis James of Sewickley. The impact forced James's car into a vehicle driven by Dana Stewart of Sewickley, who in turn struck a fourth car driven by Sewickley resident Andrea Bezuk.

None of the other drivers complained of injuries, police said. Police said Fulton's infant was also not believed to be injured, but the child traveled with the mother to the hospital.
