Leetsdale Man Identified as the Pedestrian Fatally Struck by a Train

Authorities have identified a Leetsdale man struck and killed by a train Saturday afternoon while walking along the tracks.  

Trevor Fluharty, 18, of Leetsdale, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's officer. 

The accident happened on the CSX railroad tracks along Route 51/University Boulevard, near Valley Ambulance.

Moon and Coraopolis police were called to assist about 4:45 p.m.

Officials believe Fluharty didn't hear the train.
