Nearby: Couple Found with Gun, Heroin After New Year's Fight at Moon Hotel

Staff members at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Moon Township called police when a woman came to the front desk and said her boyfriend held a gun to her head during a fight.

A New Year's Day domestic fight at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Moon Township lead to a couple's arrest on drug charges, police said.

Staff members at the Thorn Run Road hotel called police when a woman, later identified as 19-year-old Phalonda Pollard, of Pittsburgh, came to the front desk and said her boyfriend held a gun to her head during a fight in their hotel room.

After police arrived, Pollard warned officers that her boyfriend, 20-year-old William Richard Jackson Bosley, of Penn Hills, was armed and could be coming to the lobby.

When Bosley came to the lobby, police found no weapons on him. Pollard then recanted her story, claiming she "made up the story about the gun," according to a complaint filed by Officer James Kazmierczak.

Phalonda told police she only called them "to help retrieve her cell phone" from Bosley, Kazmierczak wrote.

Hotel staff members asked police to evict Bosley and Pollard from the hotel, as their room had been rented by a man named "Marino Soto," who was not present at the hotel.

Bosley told police Soto is his cousin, though he could provide no contact information for the man.

When police escorted the pair to the room to collect their belongings, they smelled a "heavy odor of marijuana," and found marijuana buds and a joint sitting on a desk in the room.

Kazmierczak said he lifted the mattress in the room and found a 9 mm Smith and Wesson handgun and a Louis Vuitton drawstring bag containing 42 heroin stamp bags.

Neither Bosley, Pollard nor Marino Soto are licensed to carry a firearm, police said.

Bosley and Pollard face charges including drug possession, possession with intent to deliver and firearms not to be carried without a license. Pollard is also charged with giving false reports to law enforcement.

The couple was taken to the Allegheny County Jail following the incident and held on $20,000 bond, each.

Preliminary hearings for the pair are scheduled for Tuesday in Coraopolis District Court, according to court records.
