Pa. Woman Charged With Giving Toddler Vodka in Sippy Cup

The little girl was hospitalized in May with a blood-alcohol level of 0.289 percent -- three times the legal limit for an adult.

A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with giving her 13-month-old daughter alcohol, resulting in the child's hospitalization.

Jessica E. Bachmaier, 26, of Erie faces charges of providing alcohol to minors and endangerment, The Erie Times-News reported. All are misdemeanor charges.

The little girl was hospitalized in May with a blood-alcohol level of 0.289 percent, CBS reported -- more than three times the legal limit for an adult in Pennsylvania.

Police believe Bachmaier put vodka in the child's zippy cup, CBS said.

The child has recovered, CBS said.

Mommy gives a one-year-old THREE times the legal limit of alcohol for an ADULT? How about you tack on an attempted murder charge to those two lame misdemeanors you handed out.

I couldn't agree more, Melody! And why didn't the reporter ask if the child was taken away from this pathetic -- dangerous -- mother -- before she ends up dead.
