Police Blotter: Suspicious Property Tampering and a Stray Dog
Sewickley Police responded to the following recent incidents. Each incident reflects police records and is not an indication of guilt.
Stray Dog
Police received a call at 12:56 p.m. on Dec. 26 from a Thorn Street resident who said she found a stray dog with no collars or tags. The resident planned to keep the dog until its owner called police to report it missing.
Suspicion of Theft

A Woods Place resident called police on Dec. 25 around 5 p.m. after he found a hole in the fence behind his house, close to the school grounds. The report stated the resident believed that someone may be stealing copper and other things from the site. The daylight officers will be notified of the incident and police will contact the site foreman.
Domestic Disturbance

Police received a call about a domestic disturbance on Dec. 25 at 1:40 a.m. in the 200 block of Chestnut Street. Officers spoke with a couple who, according to her children, were verbally fighting. No charges were filed.
