Suspicious person
Police responded about 8:20 p.m. Sunday to a home in the 700 block of Ohio River Boulevard for a report of a male standing outside with a gun.

Police said the resident looked out the back window of the home and saw a male standing by a street light at the end of the driveway looking into the house. The man started to raise his arm and the resident ran out of the room.
Police searched the area, but could not locate a man. He is described as a young black man, thin build wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt.

Child lock
Police were called Oct. 4 to the 300 block of Beaver Street for an 11-month-old locked in a vehicle after the mother accidentally locked her keys. Police opened the door.
Parking meter mishap
No one was injured at 8:44 p.m. Oct. 4 when a driver backed into a parking meter in the 300 block of Beaver Street. Police said the driver forgot to put the vehicle in park when it drifted in a semi circle and ran over the parking meter. A tow truck was called to pull the car off the meter.
Counterfeit money reported
Police are investigating a report of counterfeit money passed Oct. 5 at a local club. Police said a man paid admission using a counterfeit $100 to get himself and five of his friends into the Walter Robinson Post 450 night club. He received $70 in change back. It wasn’t until later that it was noticed the bill was fake.
