Police: Vehicle Reported Stolen Near Sewickley Starbucks

A man said someone drove off with his car while he stopped into Starbucks on Beaver Street.

A man said his 2003 gold Ford Taurus was stolen while he was grabbing coffee at Starbucks on Beaver Street. 

Sewickley Police said a man reported that he parked his vehicle at 7:30 a.m. March 12 in front of Shafer's Flowers at 420 Beaver Street, and walked into the nearby Starbucks location. 

When he returned to the street 15 minutes later, the vehicle was gone, Sewickley Police said in a complaint.

Officers searched the area but did not find the car, which is valued at $5,000.

  • Sewickley Police at 10:30 p.m. March 15 assisted the borough fire department while they responded to a chimney fire at 302 Farren Street. 
  • Motorists were charged with traffic citations following a two-vehicle crash at the 200 block of Ohio River Boulevard. A tan sedan pulled out in front of a second vehicle traveling south in the left-hand lane, causing the cars to collide. No one was injured in the incident.
