Police Warn Residents to Lock Up After String of Vehicle Break-Ins

One resident had two vehicles broken into, police said.

Sewickley police are reminding residents to lock their car doors after several vehicles were rummaged through over the weekend.

Police discovered seven vehicles were broken into overnight Saturday in the 600 blocks of Broad Street and Mulberry Street, and in the 800 block of Hill Street. One resident had two vehicles broken into, but found less than $4 in change was taken.

In each case, police said officers did not find any signs of damage or the vehicle being forced open.

Police said none of the victims saw or heard anything and most were unaware someone had rummaged through their vehicles until police notified them.
