Report: Two Men Injured in Moon Township Home Explosion

Investigators are working to determine what caused the explosion.

Two men were injured Saturday evening following a house explosion in Moon, according to reports.

According to WTAE-TV, Shawn Lan, 47, was inside the house at 1656 Charlton Heights Road when the explosion happened. 

Moon police Capt. Gregory Seamon told reporters the victim was found in the front yard under debris and was flown to the hospital.

Allen Liscia, 61, who was inside a house next door, was also rescued from debris and taken by ambulance to a local hospital. 

The explosion happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday and shook other homes in the area. Neighbors have been evacuated.

Columbia Gas was called after a strong odor of natural gas was smelled after the blast.
