Ford reduced bond to $1,000, but ordered that Seman have no contact with his wife or any further "negative" contact with police. Seman posted bail yesterday.

Police said officers were called to the Seman home at 8:12 a.m. Friday for a report of a female screaming for help. Officers found his 20-year-old wife at the bottom of the steps leading to their upstairs apartment. She told police Seman threw her down the stairs after they argued about him getting up to go to work, police said. Police said he also threatened to stab his wife and their son with a hypothermic needle and inject air into their veins. Police said his wife had a bruise on her shoulder and complained of back pain.

While interviewing her, police said an officer noticed the 18-month-old eating old noodles from a plate on the floor that appeared to have been left out for some time. An officer asked to get the child something to eat, but could find nothing in the refrigerator except rotten food, police said.

The child was released to his grandfather and police notified Allegheny County Children, Youth and Families. Seman's wife was transported to l for treatment.

An officer found Seman walking in the 500 block of Beaver Street and took him into custody. A hearing is scheduled for April 17.

Additional charges against Seman stemming from two other incidents were postponed Tuesday. Seman faces another hearing April 17 for charges of drunken driving and leaving the scene of an accident after police said his vehicle struck a parked car March 7 on Walnut Street.

. Police said the two stole speakers Nov. 23 from St. James Church to sell for drug money. A preliminary hearing in that case was continued to Aug. 21.
