Sewickley Man Charged With Running Prescription Drug Ring

A Sewickley man is accused of running an oxycodone and Opana distribution ring in Beaver and Allegheny counties, according to the Post-Gazette.

David Best, 27, is charged with possession and sale of controlled pharmaceuticals, burglary of a pharmacy and possession and brandishment of a gun in a drug crime, among other charges, according to the report.

The affidavit stated that Best diverted blank prescriptions from the Heritage Valley Health System and repeatedly robbed a Med-Fast pharmacy in Baden.
